Velez Malaga is part of the region known as la Axarquia, it consists of the seaside towns of Torre del Mar, Torrox and Nerja. This region lies to the east of Malaga, so in effect, taking the opposite direction to Marbella from Malaga Airport, following the A7 coastal motorway.
